Plainly speaking, this means that an organization does business in a way that supports charitable causes and the environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, LEGO was ranked number one in the Reputation Institute\u2019s 2017 annual study of the top CSR companies around the world because consumers believe that the company:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Behaves ethically<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conducts business fairly<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Operates transparently<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Protects the environment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supports worthy causes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\" id=\"three-reasons-csr-has-become-so-important\"><br>Three Reasons CSR Has Become So Important<\/h4>\n\n\n<p>64% of CEOs increased investment in corporate social responsibility in 2016, according to the Huffington Post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But why?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of course, corporate social responsibility can help your company make a difference by giving back to charitable causes and protecting the environment. Aside from the obvious, however, here are three reasons why businesses all over the world are incorporating CSR into their everyday business practices that may surprise you.<\/p>\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"1-your-customers-and-employees-expect-it\">1. Your Customers and Employees Expect It<\/h5>\n\n\n<p>Companies are missing out if they\u2019re not involved in CSR. Both consumers and employees have come to expect corporate social responsibility to be included in organizations\u2019 business practices. More than 88% of consumers and 70% of Millennials believe that companies should be involved with CSR in some way, according to Forbes and TIME Magazine.<\/p>\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"the-impact-on-your-workplace\">The Impact on Your Workplace:<\/h6>\n\n\n<p>With CSR, your organization has the opportunity to be innovative. CSR Can Positively Affect Your Brand Image<\/h5>\n\n\n<p>Don\u2019t hold a food drive or volunteer at a soup kitchen just for the sake of including something CSR-related in your company newsletter. Go above and beyond your customers\u2019 and employees\u2019 expectations. Try to incorporate CSR into your business practices in a way that\u2019s relevant to your company\u2019s core values, products, or services. Loyalty can lead to more revenue. It Can Help Promote Employee Engagement and Retention<\/h5>\n\n\n<p>According to the Huffington Post, Millennials are almost twice as likely to be happy with how their career is going if they frequently participate in workplace volunteer activities. Afterward, you should get company-wide buy-in, and make sure employees are interested in your program before moving forward.
