Learn more about the unique charity event their group participated in, and how our team customized the experience for them.<\/h4>\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"the-question-do-you-have-any-unique-charity-events\">THE QUESTION \u2013 \u201cDo you have any unique charity events?\u201d<\/h3>\n\n\n<p>The Bill &amp; Melinda Gates Foundation focuses on improving the quality of life for billions of people around the world, working to help improve healthcare and education, and decrease poverty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the basis of their work revolving around philanthropy, it\u2019s not hard to imagine that their team has \u201cdone it all\u201d when it comes to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outbackteambuilding.com\/\/team-building\/charity-philanthropic\/\">charity and philanthropic activities<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When the head office of the Bill &amp; Melinda Gates Foundation in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outbackteambuilding.com\/\/locations\/seattle-wa\/\">Seattle, Washington<\/a> contacted our team, they were looking for a group activity that would help them give back \u2013 in a new way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"the-answer-new-event-bookworm-builders\">THE ANSWER \u2013 \u201cNew Event &#8211; Bookworm Builders\u201d<\/h3>\n\n\n<p>Our team created a new charity activity, called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outbackteambuilding.com\/\/team-building\/bookworm-builders\/\">Bookworm Builders<\/a>, for this event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Bill &amp; Melinda Gates Foundation team worked in small groups of two to three to construct bookshelves for children in need. Each team built a custom shelf that the organization donated to Treehouse, a local non-profit that supports the education of youth in foster care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result, each group had the chance to work together, get creative, and do something a little different, while supporting local children and their educational development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Highlights from the activity include:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Bill &amp; Melinda Gates Foundation got to give back in a unique and entirely new way<br><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The activity aligned with the organization\u2019s objective of improving education and supporting children in Washington State<br><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Building bookshelves helped them give back to their community and provided a team building experience<br><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Groups had the chance to collaborate, use their creativity, and work together in a fun environment as they constructed and decorated the shelves<br><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Their group didn\u2019t have to worry about preparing for the event \u2013 our team took care of all the details, including the building materials and children\u2019s books for donation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"the-results-your-team-went-above-and-beyond\">THE RESULTS \u2013 \u201cYour team went above and beyond\u201d<\/h3>\n\n\n<p>The Bill &amp; Melinda Gates Foundation was very happy with the results of their custom team building activity.
